Our Team

WILL SKEGGS

Coach Will is a very popular coach with both kids and adults alike. He is regarded for his quality coaching and his fun and passionate attitude both on and off the court. Coach Will trained in the UK and has been coaching for 19 years in both the UK and Australia. He is currently a Coach Development Coordinator with Tennis Australia, assisting the training of the next generation of Australian coaches. He is determined to impart his knowledge of the game and is passionate about involving all ages in this lifetime sport.

Coach Will is a firm advocate of following the Tennis Australia Hotshots Pathway as he has seen the benefits over that last 14 years of coaching in Sydney. His lessons are centred around perfecting technique and footwork as well as teaching his students how to play in a competitive environment.

Off the court Will enjoys spending time on the golf course, playing guitar and training in the gym.

COOPER FAY

Cooper has been playing since he was 4 years old, played in many local competitions such as premier league 1 and won a few times, also been playing Australian tanking tournaments since the age of 14 and still playing AMT tournaments.

He went to Saint Augustines College and graduated last year. At a young age he played representative soccer and also played soft ball and touch football as a bit of fun. He represented North Sydney for AFL but elected to pursue a career in tennis instead of AFL.

When he’s not playing tennis he enjoys playing competitive basketball in a local league and following the NBA. I’m also a massive NRL supporter and follow the mighty manly sea eagles.

My goals for this year are to continue playing competitive tennis in Australian ranking tournaments and by the end of the year have a world ranking through going overseas to play a few ITF’s.

BRENDAN DODD

Brendan believes that sport forms a fundamental component of early childhood development. Teaching children team play, respect, goal setting and leadership establishes a basis for healthy social skills, positive self-esteem and confidence.  Establishing a positive association with tennis and it’s values, sets the foundation for a lifelong commitment to health and well-being at every age.

He’s been fortunate enough to coach tennis for over 20 years, and hold qualifications from the UK, Canada and Australia, including Tennis Cardio and Wheelchair Tennis.

When kids are 3 or 4 lessons into Orange Ball and you spot that light-bulb moment of understanding, that moment continues to inspire and motivate him as a coach.

Away from the tennis court he loves to spend time with his beautiful family and they enjoy surfing, snorkeling, kayaking and fishing which complement their love for camping. As well as Tennis he enjoys golf, running and watching any sport on TV
