Our Team

Coach Will is a very popular coach with both kids and adults alike. He is regarded for his quality coaching and his fun and passionate attitude both on and off the court. Coach Will trained in the UK and has been coaching for 16 years in both the UK and Australia. He is currently a Coach Development Coordinator with Tennis Australia, assisting the training of the next generation of Australian coaches. He is determined to impart his knowledge of the game and is passionate about involving all ages in this lifetime sport.

Coach Will is a firm advocate of following the Tennis Australia Hotshots Pathway as he has seen the benefits over that last 12 years of coaching in Sydney. His lessons are centred around perfecting technique and footwork as well as teaching his students how to play in a competitive environment.

Off the court Will enjoys spending time on the golf course, playing guitar and training in the gym.

Coach Lisa is extremely passionate about tennis coaching. A state level junior player in her youth, Lisa combines her love of the game, Tennis Australia Junior Development training, 16 years of motherhood and experience as a Primary Teacher to coach her students at Young Aces.

Living in the Forest area for most of her life, Coach Lisa enjoys playing mid-week comp on the Northern Beaches and promotes competition pathways for players of all ages and levels. She volunteers at the Sydney APIA tournaments and loves going down to the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament in January.

Growing up in the Forest area, Coach Max always loved tennis. Some of his earliest memories include going with his mum to her social tennis every week and trying (unsuccessfully) to let the ladies let him play too; and watching names like Lleyton Hewitt and Roger Federer play at the then-Medibank International. Don’t let his age fool you, with 18 years of playing tennis and over 6 years coaching at Belrose Tennis Club under his belt; Coach Max has the unique ability to provide a deep knowledge of tennis fundamentals and techniques while also being young enough to connect with the children he coaches. He brings a vibrant passion with him whenever he steps onto the court and strives to turn every lesson into a memorable experience.

A well rounded athlete, Max is a graduate of North Sydney Boys High School, which he represented in numerous sports, including of course tennis. He would go on to be a state-level player in not only tennis, but also volleyball and ultimate frisbee. Currently, he balances coaching full time with completing his B.Comm. at UNSW, captaining an interstate representative volleyball team, and still finding time for a social hit whenever he gets the chance.

Off the sports field,  Max loves watching things live, whether sports events, video game competitions or concerts, and can regularly be seen in Olympic Park, either participating in a sporting tournament, or enjoying his favourite events.

Been playing since I was 4 years old (worlds best one handed backhand), played in many local competitions such as premier league 1 and won a few times, also been playing Australian tanking tournaments since the age of 14 and still playing AMT tournaments.

I went to saint augustines college and graduated last year (did pretty well for myself). At a young age I played representive soccer and also played soft ball and touch football as a bit of fun. I just quit AFL after playing for the local forest lions and also representing north sydney AFL district, I quit AFL to focus on tennis.

When I’m not playing tennis I love playing basketball and following the NBA. I just joined a local basketball comp down at warriewood on a Wednesday night with a few friends. I’m also a massive NRL supporter and follow the mighty manly sea eagles.

My goals for this year is to continue playing competitive tennis in Australian ranking tournaments and by the end of the year have a world ranking through going overseas to play a few ITF’s.
